Ugly Surprise
The tongue has no shame. It has spoken thousands of words, tasted forbidden fruit, dipped into ecstasy, provided silken swirls of pleasure. Not particularly attractive, a hidden surprise, seldom revealed... and only to a favored few.
This is one of my favorite of your pieces. It is compressed, focused, beautifully phrased, and lush at the same time. Ugly Surprise casts a spell. You should try to get this one published in a poetry journal!
love this poem Cheryl, and your site is beautiful! Hope to come back here often. Warm regards, Ed
