Love Poem

Taken toward estuary at mouth of Blackwood riv...Image via Wikipedia

My soul has been weary for many years;

Mountains I have encountered have been vast;

I have clenched my fists, cried rivers of tears;

I have struggled to let go of my past.

I have lived and loved in the warmth of bliss;

My heart has been broken with a goodbye;

I have surrendered to love's first sweet kiss;

I have lived both in truth and in a lie.

My sweetest respite comes from God above;

He is my Father, my True Love, my Friend;

He blankets me with His amazing love,

And His love will never come to an end.

Oh, how I long to look upon His face!

Oh, how I long to feel His sweet embrace!
